🥯 Ingredients notes
- Cream Cheese - Block cream cheese will provide a thicker and creamier dip. Whipped cream cheese can also be use, however the dip will be a bit looser.
- Pepperoncini Peppers - Already sliced pepperoncini peppers (affiliate link), that will make things easier, however you can also get and slice them yourself.
- Bagels - I prefer using plain bagels for these bagel chips. For extra flavor and texture, try onion or everything bagels instead.
📋 Substitutions and Variations
- More Spice - Add ยฝ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes for even more spice.
- Other Accompaniments - Serve the pepperoncini dip with fresh vegetables or crackers instead of the homemade bagel chips.
🔪 Step by step instructions
First, combine all of the ingredients for the dip, except for the salt and pepper, in a mixing bowl. Mix together the ingredients thoroughly so that the seasonings and pepper are evenly combined with the cream cheese.
Split bagels in half and cut the halves in one inch pieces. Place bagel pieces in a mixing bowl with the remaining ingredients and toss to combine.
Lay the seasoned bagel pieces out on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake in a 350˚ oven for about 15 minutes, tossing the pieces halfway through, so they are browned and crispy. Serve chilled dip with cooled bagel chips.

Question: Are you using pickled pepperoncini? Or fresh? I have pepperoncini chile peppers growing in my garden, so Iโm really excited about this recipe!

Oh how fun! I love that. These are pickled pepperoncini - but you could certainly pickle your garden peppers and use them!
